Mrs. Iona Adams Pressley age 90 of Atlanta, Georgia transitioned on July 21, 2023 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility Buckhead Atlanta, Georgia.

Mrs. Pressley was born in Clarksville, Missouri on February 8, 1933 to the late Harry and Zora Adams.

She was a resident of Des Moines, Iowa where she met her late husband, Calvin Oliver Pressley. They moved to New York City where she was the Director of Personnel at the City of New York Human Resources Administration.

Iona graduated from The New School for Social Research, Fashion Institute of Technologies in, New York and was an accomplished seamstress, interior designer, and consultant.

Mrs. Pressley was a member of the Community Development Council Oaks Bluff, Massachusetts where she also resided. Mrs. Pressley was the former Treasurer of the LINKS, Incorporated and a founding member of the Metro Manhattan Chapter, New York City.

Mrs. Iona Pressley leaves to cherish her memories her son, Todd Oliver Pressley of Atlanta, Georgia, three grandchildren: Peyton Olivia Pressley, Jared Owen Chapman Pressley, and Zion Ethan Anderson Pressley. Three Brother-in-laws: George W. Pressley, Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Alex Bernard Pressley (Shirley) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Raymond Giles Pressley (Deborah) of New Jersey.
