James William, name i always called him, was very much part of my life as I grew up in Kentucky.  He and I would go hunting together.   I would go watch him play baseball.   He was very much part of my young years.   He will be missed.       Larry Nixon

I was so sad this week when I learned of Jim's recent death from Gayla Whaley.  It is hard for me to imagine Jim no longer here.  However

Jim was one of the finest men to have known.
I have so many wonderful memories of our families. I am so sorry for your loss and I am thinking of you. We now have another angel watching over us! I love you all.

Mr. and Mrs. Nixon opened their hearts to me when I moved next door to them .  I came to care for the both of them as adoptive grandparents to me and great grands to TuTu their grand dog.  Mr. Nixon was extremely helpful to me in so many ways, to the point of praying with me in a time of frustation.  I consider Mr. Jim and Ms. Naomi the patriarch and matriarch of the neigborhood.  They both always looked out for everyone on the block. It was a common sight to see the both of them tending to their yard as well as anyone elses, they cut the whole neighborhoods lawns.  When I think of Mr. Nixon, I'm proud as well as blessed to have known such a man.  Ms. Naomi, I am sadden that he gone but his spirit will continue on.  Im right next door when you need me.  I keep seeing Mr. Nixon with a hat on, shorts, shirt, and socks mid leg pushing a lawn mower.  I'm sure if theres a lawn in heaven, he's already gased up his mower.

Naomi - You and Jim have always been such a steadfast presence at church. Thank you for the way you have led your lives. We were so sad to hear about Jim's passing and will be praying for you and your family. Kay and Danny Spears (Norcross, GA)

Jim was a constant example of what it means to be a Christian man, husband and father. Whether as a faithful teacher of preschool children or as a skilled member of a Georgia Baptist Emergency Relief Team or as a Deacon and recognized leader in the church, Jim’s deep relationship with and love for Jesus Christ is what he imparted first, last and most. Our love and prayers go out to Naomi and the family.

Aunt Omi, Myra and Pam, I am very sorry to hear of Jim's passing.  He was a special man and I am proud to have known him. Ann Marie's and my prayers are with you. Take care.

Naomi: you, Pam , and Myra are in mine and Elaine's prayers in this time of mourning for Nick. He was such a great friend and set a everlasting Christian example for me. We had so many wonderful times in church and on the baseball field. You and Nick will always be a blessing to me.

Jim has now joined with the saints that have gone before us - so many of our fathers and mothers of the faith - so many from our Beecher Hills family of years past - who are now praising God for all eternity in the home He prepared for them. We will miss him, we will rehearse our memories of him, and we will be thankful to God for the way he touched our lives.

Aunt Omi, Myra & Pam - we love you all and miss you so much.  Neil, Glenis, & I were so sad to hear the news.  Sad we hadn't made a trip to see you in recent years.  James William holds a special place in our hearts and memories,as do each of you.

Mrs. Nixon, Pam and Myra, There are no words to describe how I feel right now. Y'all were my second family for so many years. Mr. Nixon my second dad. But he has now joined my mom and dad in Heaven. I know he is having an amazing time and we will all see him again soon. There is SO much comfort in that. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. You are continuously in my prayers !
