He was recognized by the Atlanta Journal for his Frisbee Golf Course that he created on his property for public use.
He was a carpenter for most of his life and went on to start his own remodeling business with his son James. Later he was able to fulfill his life long dream of starting a family owned & operated company called Poplar Springs Bottled Water Co. The family members worked together to help make this dream a success. Vicky, Michael, Ann and his life long partner & wife Dolores worked together to make this dream a successful reality. This family owned company was recognized on the front page of the The Clayton Neighbor as a “miracle business." Jimmy always had innovative ideas and creations. Jimmy retired from the family owned business and was able to enjoy fishing at his house on the lake as well as being with his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
