Lawrence John Lage., Sr., of Riverdale, GA., passed on January 13, 2015. Lawrence was a 20 year retired veteran from the United States Air Force., followed by a career with the Boy Scouts of American until the mid-70’s. Lawrence enjoyed spending time with family; he enjoyed fishing and was active in league bowling. He served faithfully for years at 1st Baptist Church of Riverdale and Bethel Baptist Church. He enjoyed spinning a yarn every chance he got.
Lawrence is survived by his devoted wife, Rosemary Lage; 1 son, Lawrence John Lage, Jr., 1 daughter, Darla Joyce Vaughn; 1 sister, Blanche Warden of Arkansas; 1 brother, John Lage of Indiana; 5 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 1 great -great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at our chapel. Funeral Services will take place at First Baptist Church of Riverdale 6805 Church St., Riverdale, GA. Pastor Jeff Lowe officiating. Interment Camp Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors.
