Lawrence Eugene Lavender

Mr. Lawrence E. Lavender was born July 8, 1951 in Winchester, Virginia. He was the son of the late Joseph Lawrence Wallace Lavender and Ruth A Jackson Lavender. He was a member of the Lakewood Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Atlanta, Georgia. He retired from both Delta Airlines and Gate Gourmet (formally Dobbs) catering service.

He was married to Rose J. Lavender.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his adoring wife Rose Lavender and two daughters, Rosheda J. Lavender-Doe and C. Rebekah Lavender-Fillmore, and nephew Bashun Lavender, Atlanta, GA. He has six grandchildren, Cirit R. Fillmore, Davion A. Eugene Fillmore, DeAnthony K. Lawrence Fillmore, Christopher N.(Jada) Turnage, Darius D. Doe and Melinda Rose Doe. His two brothers Robert P. Lavender, Henry J.(Lynn) Lavender, cousin Harrold (Gail) Smith Jr, all from Winchester, VA. His three sisters Augustine Lavender, Atlanta, GA. Dorothy M. Chambers & Ruth A. Robinson of Winchester, VA. He was loved and remembered by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, friends, and caring congregation members.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ruth Lavender and one brother Josie Jackson; two sisters, JoyAnn Brown and Jeanne L. Brown.

The Lavender Family will hold a virtual memorial service to include all family and friends across the country.

The family would like to thank Longleaf and Grace Hospice for the care they gave to our loved one. Thank you for all the loving care and support we have received from family, congregation members and friends.
