We are deeply saddened to share that our beloved world traveler, Marvin Bradford Brooks, has passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. In true gentleman fashion, his sunset peacefully in love, holding the hand of his wife, Digna.
Besides the unconditional love for his family- music, style, and travel were just a couple of Marvin’s favorite passions. Not only did he turn heads with his sense of fashion and smile, he made magic with a pair of drumsticks, and wrote the guidebook to traveling on a budget while earning frequent flyer miles. Some would say his favorite trips were to Sam’s Club for some delicious hot dogs and bulk-size brownies. He was quite the “influencer” in how he could sell you on trying and loving a new snack- most likely from his years of experience as a top Sales Executive for a globally recognized firm. However, those who knew him best knew that his favorite trips were any of the ones that he took with his family. His most loved travel destinations were the Caribbean and Toronto with his best friend, his wife.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Digna, and his bonus children with her, as well as his former wife, their son and daughter, his neice and four nephews. His biggest fans of all were the amazing people he was proud to call his 12 grandchildren. These precious individuals only knew and loved Marvin as their hero and PopPop. With this many grandchildren, most would say to watch your budget spoiling them. Not their PopPop; he would tell you to watch your snacks for pantry detectives and your feet; because as he learned one too many times, stepping on a rogue lego can be both endearing and brutal!
Throughout his life and in his final days Marvin was surrounded with love by his close friends and family. He will forever be remembered as adventurous, tough, intelligent, interesting, and sentimental. The man, the myth, a legend.
