Tara Garden Chapel

Mary Grace Clonts, my beautiful wife, whom I loved and adored, who was my sparkling, shining light in my life, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. My beautiful young woman... I miss her every moment and I am constantly thinking about her all the time. She was the love of my life. Mary was born on June 14, 1944. She was the only daughter of the late Robert Heiserman & Dorothea (Ross) Heiserman of Michigan. Mary's grandparents names were Albert & Clara Leiblein, and her aunt and uncle's names were Bernadette & Francis Beiring of Hancock, Michigan. Mary attended St. Benedict School in Pontiac, Michigan and many others too in her early years. She attended and graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1965 and she attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan for two years. Her mother made sure that she had the best education. Mary was employed at Delta Airlines in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a Reservations Specialist from 1977 to 2001- 24 years. She was an excellent employee and she received the highest achievement awards for excellence many times. She was a very valuable employee. Delta expressed that to her on many occasions. Mary had many friends who worked next to her on her assigned shift. She enjoyed their company. They know who they are and I would like to thank them for being her friends! Mary retired in April of 2001. I continued to work for five more years which was rough because I wanted to be home with her. I met my Mary on my US postal route. I was a carrier and she was walking her dog Adolf. Such a beautiful woman..and I was a lucky man! All the rest is pure love. We were meant to be together. We were married on August 12, 1989 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We couldn't wait for our lives to start together. We were married for 38 wonderful years. i enjoyed every moment of our lives. She was truly my soulmate. Mary was a loving, smart, caring, sweet, strong and beautiful young woman. We both loved animals. We had a cute dog named Adolf, three adorable cats; Bogie, Muffin & Buttons. We loved them all. We took many trips Arizona, San Francisco, Maine, and Virginia just to name a few. My Mary taught me a lot about life and she made me a better man. I will always love her for that.... Mary is survived by her husband; Don Clonts (who loves and adores her), two wonderful daughters; Erica Barrie and Tara Clonts, grandchildren; Kayla (Alex), Grason and Daniel, brother and sister-in-law; Ken (Jackie) Clonts, their sons and sister in law; Daphne Clonts. Many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to your local humane society or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Clonts family.
