Michael “Lamar” Lofton was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 11th, 1968 to James Madyun and Jean Smith (deceased).
Michael attended Bowen High School in Chicago. He attended the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Illinois where he obtained his GED.
Michael had a great, preeminent love for people. He was always smiling and so full of life, so it’s no surprise that he was a devout customer care representative at the largest publicly traded company in the world. His smile and bubbly personality was very infectious and could light up any room. Michael was always the life of the party and lived every day as if it were his last. Michael had many hobbies. Outside of being an amazing father to his children, he was a singer, dancer, actor, choreographer, song writer, musician, philanthropist, reputable pool league member, basketball player, passionate motorcycle bike rider, and an avid collector of memorabilia. He set the global standard for what it means to truly embrace who you are… unapologetically.
Michael leaves to cherish the memory of his children of whom he was very proud of including Michael Jr., Isaiah, Bryan, Julius, Timothy, Sierra, Khorey, Elijah, Khalen, Ahjurae, Treveon, Reginald, and Travis. Michael also had an adoptive daughter Jaelynn. He dearly departs from a total of 13 grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish the memory of his father James Madyun, his brothers William Lofton (Prince), Melvin Lofton, James Madyun (Stasey), Abdur Madyun (Latosha), and David Madyun (Nicole). Sisters Denise Muhammad (Rodney), Jameelah Sackor, and Celesia Morris (Devon). He also leaves his former wife Flora Brown and her brother Michael Thomas, his sisters Bridgette Braun and Stephanie Edmond, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends, acquaintances, fellow Walmart co-workers, his biker buddies, as well as his pool league. And last, but not least his favorite cousin Tina, his best friend “Tiger”, and his beloved friend Jill McLean.
