He was truly a family man. He had great pride in his children and grandchildren. He was born in Warren, Ohio on December 17, 1948. He was one of two children. He resided in Jonesboro, GA since 1984.
He worked at the post office for 39 years. He held several positions there including; Clerk, Carrier, Manager of air mail facility at the airport and Postal Inspector. He retired as Postmaster of Newnan, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years; Margaret, his sons; Marc Sliver of Athens, GA, Matt Sliver of Jonesboro, GA, Marty (Jill) Sliver of McDonough, GA, daughter; Megan (Linda) Sliver of Jonesboro, GA
and his grandchildren; Nolan Sliver, Kendall Sliver, Aidan Jarrett, Cori Abaray-Sliver and Max Abaray-Sliver.
