

Morris L. Strength age 83 of Morrow, GA passed away March 16, 2015. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather who will be greatly missed. He was a proud US Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. After becoming saved in 1970, Morris joined the First Congregational Holiness Church of East Point where he served his congregation faithfully for many years as head deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He liked to hunt, fish, camp and bowl, but most of all, loved to cook and was best known for his red velvet cake. Morris was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Ruby Strength and sons, Jerry Strength and Stephen Strength. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, William Zan and Penny Strength of Tyrone; daughter, Rita Coleman of Jonesboro; daughter and son in law, Brinda and Allen Denman of Morrow; grandchildren, Farrah Gray, Sarah Smith, Joshua Roberts, Robert Denman, September Denman, Devon Denman, Patrick Hunt, Carson Hunt, Tracy Bunn; great grandchildren, Corey Hunt, Alexis Hunt, Conner Hunt, Richelle Martinez, Brittany Bunn, Andrea Bunn, Nicholas Maybee, Roman Hunt, Johnathan Denman, Lily Roberts, Matthew Gray, Micah Peterson, Dylan Smith, Chandler Smith and Cheyenne Peterson and soon to be Regina Madison Roberts; great great grandchildren, Ariel Martinez, Amore Bunn and Isaiah Braxton. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Bill Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Morrow City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 2-4 PM and Friday, March 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
