Nellie Laney

She was born June 24, 1931 In Graham, Alabama to the late Jim and Mary Jane Harrington.

Nellie worked for Gordon Foods, Sunshine Foods, and Keebler Bakery throughout her working career. She was a member of Heatherwood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Cecil Laney; her daughter: Sandra Byrom and son in law: Dennis Byrom.

She is survived by her son: Rick (Sandra) Laney, five grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the visitation for Nellie on Friday, January 13, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 AM with Reverend Doug Johnson officiating. Following the funeral interment will take place at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, Georgia 30236.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Nellie’s memory to Brightmoor Hospice Foundation located at 3247 Newnan Road in Griffin Georgia 30223.
