Rebecca Armstead

Mrs. Rebecca Collins Armstead was born to the late Carmel and Savannah Collins on November 11, 1933 in Lilburn, Georgia and passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2017 peacefully at her residence in Decatur, Georgia.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her precious memories her loving children, Marilyn Elaine Bell, Shirlene (Cecil) King; Victor Armstead, Vickie (Tyrone) Clark, Princess (Lynn) Malcom, eight grandchildren whom she loved dearly and who loved her dearly; LaKendra Davis, Octavia Bell Lunsford, D’Angelo Armstead, Brittany King, Tiesha Clark, Christopher Malcom, Jonathan King, Tyrus Clark, eighteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her loving siblings, who all were special to her in their own unique way, Elder Carson (Shirley) Collins; Carolyn David, Carmel (Alice) Collins; Lois Foster, Douglas (Angel) Collins, Christine Jordan, Juanita (Lucious) Lewis, sister in law Johnnie Mae Collins, brother in law Josh Malcome, a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all of her Valencia Road children.

Visitation will be held Sunday February 19, 2017 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Donald Trimble Mortuary, Decatur, Georgia. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Monday February 20, 2017 11:00 AM, Salem Missionary Baptist Church 4600 Church St., Lilburn, Georgia. Remains will lie in state at the church from 10am until the hour of service. Interment Kennedy Memorial Gardens. Services entrusted to Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home, Jonesboro, Georgia.
