

He proudly served in the US Army for over 25 years. He served in Vietnam and he retired from Civil Service. He also was an adjutant for the American Legion.
Richard loved to bowl, he loved to travel to different countries and he loved trains. He would go to train functions often. He once donated his train to a train museum in Georgia.
He loved his family dearly especially his grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all who know and love him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Marilyn, his children; Stephen, Traci and Jennifer, his grandchildren; Steven, Joseph, Jessica, Mandra, Andrasa, Kailon and Brandon, his great grandchildren; Jaime, Jena, Juliana, Jazimine, Jaiden, Elias, Easton, Anthony, Bailey, Kennedy, Addy, Brody, Davion, Marshawn, Ide, Jacari, Mari-Lynn, Terrance, Kaidon and Kaylani and his two great-great grandchildren; Robbie and Andelynn, and a host of other relatives and friends
A memorial service for Richard will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 4:00 PM at Tara Garden Chapel 681 North Ave Jonesboro GA 30236
