Shirley H. Cobb

Ms. Shirley Haney Henderson Cobb of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away on October 19, 2015. A life-long Georgia resident, Ms. Cobb was born in Thomaston, Georgia on December 7, 1934. Ms. Cobb’s Christian faith influenced her love of family inspired her to be a doting grandmother. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, fishing and caring for her farm animals.

Ms. Cobb is preceded in death by her parents, Herbert & Myrtice Haney; husbands: Willard Clay Henderson, Sr. and Bobby Lamar Cobb; brothers, Herbert Haney and Ray Haney. She is survived by her daughters: Mahria (Joe) Clarke and Barbara (Phillip) Juhan; sons: Norval “Terry” Henderson, Clay (Marlene) Henderson, Kevin (Adriane) Henderson; grandchildren: Chad Berry, Mark Berry, Toni Griffin, Pierce Juhan, Piper Juhan, Robert Henderson, Billy Henderson, Justin Smallwood, Brittany Askew, Haden Henderson, McKenna Henderson, Lorenza Henderson, Lana Henderson, Logan Henderson, and Ashley Henderson; and 11 Great-grandchildren.

The Family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home, Jonesboro, Georgia. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 10:30am at Tara Garden Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro, Georgia.
