Thelma Mae Binns Kirkpatrick

Mrs. Thelma Mae Binns Kirkpatrick age 83, passed away January 11, 2011. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of the late John and Mary Jones Binns. Mrs. Kirkpatrick worked for Western Union for 20 years and when the Atlanta Hilton opened she went to work there and stayed for 30 years. She was hard working, having worked untill age 79. She was a huge Atlanta Braves fan and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. She was a great mother and grandmother who loved her family very much. Everyone who knew her loved her warm, friendly smile. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Donald Lane Irvin, II. She is survived by a daughter; Debbie Downey, six grandchildren; Kim Pino, Kelly Hutchison, Kristy Irvin, Katrina Irvin, Kayla Sarr and Kara Irvin. eight great grandchildren: Brittany Irvin, Justin Pino, John Hutchison, Samantha Pino, Alicia Whitaker, Joseph Pino, Lane Pino and Seth Pino, a brother; Richard Binns and a sister; Evelynn Frizzell also preceded her in death.Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sat. January 15, 2011 in Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Dionne officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth Church West Cemetery.
