

Thomas Floyd Johnson was born March 14, 1941 in Griffin, GA. He died July 16, 2021 at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital surrounded by his immediate family and sister. Pat. Tommy found Christ early in life at Mt. Bethel Methodist Church in Ola, GA. He later joined Zion Hill Baptist Church in Jonesboro, GA, where he attended faithfully until the pandemic.
He retired from Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, GA after 42 years of service. He remained friends with co-workers, Larry Wynn and Larry Lind throughout the years.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Harriett Johnson, his sister, Mary J. Foster, and brother, James. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 56 years, Sandra Hawkins Johnson, their daughter, Cindy Johnson and their son Ken T. Johnson (wife, Cathy); Granddaughter, Tara J. Nash (husband, Cliff), Great Granddaughter, Clara Nash; his sister Pat J. Alexander; his brother-in-law and longtime friend, Doug Foster; sisters-in-law, Jackie Sims, Robbie Blake, and Sharon Pursell (husband, Jack). Tommy leaves a legacy of many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many friends he loved like family.
