Tonya L Flanigan-Gunther

Tonya Lashell Flanigan-Gunther, age 52 of Morrow, GA passed away on November 5, 2020. She was born to the late Robert Lee Watson Jr. and Marilyn Watson in Newark, NJ on July 22, 1968. Tonya was the second child born to the couple. She was preceded by her grandparents; James and Dorothy Flanigan, Robert Lee and Rosa Lee Watson Sr.

Tonya was a true woman of God and would speak the word of the Father to all that would listen. In 2004, she knew that God was pushing her towards a life change. That change consisted of her relocating to Marietta, GA. She packed up her five children and began a new life. There was a tug at her heart to find a church home and she was introduced to New Hope Christian Fellowship where she began her spiritual growth. She always made sure that her children were aligned with the works of the Lord and served diligently in ministry. Tonya relocated to Hiram, GA with her fiancé, Mr. Antonio Gunther and her 10 children. After the move and much prayer and visiting other ministries, the family decided to move their membership to Sweet Home Baptist Church.

Through many tests and trials, Tonya remained faithful to the love of Christ and always vowed to do His will. United in holy matrimony, Tonya and Antonio gathered the "T" babies and relocated to Morrow, GA. The family changed their house of worship to become members of Bread of Life Full Gospel Church. Tonya loved her work there and became a member of the praise and worship ministry.

Along with her husband, Antonio and her siblings, Wayne Flanigan and Danielle McLean (Valiant), Tonya leaves to cherish her memory her ten "T" babies; Talisha Flanigan, Tamik Flanigan, Tavon Flanigan, Tianna Flanigan, Tysinia Flanigan, Tasaun Flanigan, Trevion Flanigan, Taliyah Flanigan, Timothy Flanigan, Tyrique Flanigan and the princess of the bunch (grand daughter) TyQuayjah Flanigan.

Tonya's heart was big enough to cherish a multitude as she cared deeply for her two step sons; Antonia Gunther Jr. and Matthew Gunther along with her step grand children; P.J and C.J, Lindell, Raven, Isaiah, Morayia, AJ, and Karter. She also leaves to cherish her sister in love, Carolyn Davis and her two queen sisters, Sonia Atkins and Lisa Jones. Aunt Sandra Griffin (Lamont), Reginald Flanigan (Victoria) and Calvin Flanigan. There is a host of nieces and nephews; Lanae Flanigan (Ahmari and Amaya), Andre Flanigan, Samaya Holston, Ajah King, Allura King, Julle King, Valeria McLean, Ionya King, Kali Burgess,

Kloe Spann, Adina Spann, Legend Burgess, Ivy Davis, Jasmine Purvis, (Jada Mulligan), Alexis Purvis, (Kenzi Foy and Karolyn Duncan) Lauren Davis, and Christina Gunn. God children, Shareinae Jones, Johnny Atkins Jr., Lakendria Spence and Zhenelle Harper.

Those who knew and loved Tonya will cherish every bit of love that she gave to them and they will miss her dearly. For all those who Tonya touched they will continue to carry on her love and legacy.
