

Willard Brown, 82 of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020 while standing by his bedside with his best friend of 16 years and wife for the last of 6 of those years, Joyce Marie Brown (Joycie) May 17, 2014.
Willard was born November 18, 1938 in Butler County, Missouri to Edward and Lillie Brown who has preceded him in death.
Willard left school in the ninth grade where as he went out to seek work, which started on the railroad alongside his dad, to working in a Cookie Factory, owning his own Roofing Company in Davenport, Iowa, to over the road Truck Driver for many years which during that time he moved to Fayetteville, Georgia With his then wife Mrs. Larvern Brown, he worked in his stepson- in -law’s automotive shop until he was hired on with the City of Fayetteville where he retired after 5 years of service.
Willard loved doing Lawn Care. He invested in his own Lawn Care service and was doing so well until October 26, 2020 when his health started to decline.
Willard loved singing, fishing, canning, gardening, cooking (especially grilling), playing his guitar, and going to the casinos. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church for years where he loved singing solos. He got a little emotional while singing at times, but he always managed to make it through.
Willard is survived by 6 children from his 1st marriage in 1958 to Mrs. Della Rose Brown: Yvonne Brown, Hazel Ann Floyd, Angela Jean Hamb, Roy Brown, Willard “Bill” Brown Jr (Deceased) and Will J. Brown., 6 brothers and sisters; Willie Brown, Jeweral Brown, Edward Brown Jr. Pauline Taylor, Darlene Brown, and Dorothy Marie Williams. He also leaves to cherish his memories 12 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, 3 step children from 2nd marriage, 2 step children; Marius and Marcus Freeman, 1 step grandchild; Meghan from his present marriage, and also uncles, cousins and dear friends. “HE WILL BE MISSED”
