

83 of Tequesta passed away July 29, 2012. Mrs. Brugliera had been a registered nurse and Chief of Employee Health for the National Institute of Health, retiring in the early 1980’s. She had been an active volunteer in such organizations as the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Department, and was President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW of Rockville/Gaithersburg, MD. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross and served as co-chair with her husband of the disaster response team during Hurricane Andrew.
She leaves her loving husband of 38 years, Joseph Brugliera, daughters, Michelle Walz (Michael Wallace) of Fredericksburg, VA, Joanne Black (Donald) of Tequesta, and Deborah Walz of Brookline, NH; brothers, Henri Portine and Rod Portine of New Jersey; grandchildren, April Black, Casey Shortridge and Noelle Bourquard and her faithful companion, Suzy.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 1st at the funeral home. Interment will be at 10 am on Thursday, August 2nd at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.
