Part Two - You know she lived through a lot of shit and gave two shits about a lot, but didn't give a rat's ass. That's something she would say. There are things I see and hear everyday that make me think of her. She will always be on my mind, just like the Willie Nelson song. I want to thank my sisters for everything they have done and do. I want to thank my wife for her support. And one last thing about Mom, the diverse life she lived, was a life well lived. The best Mom ever!

Part Two - Mom was a drama queen from way back - a prom queen in her sophomore year of high school, her grandmother made her many gowns and fancy frocks when she was in high school, she loved high drama in movies and books, she liked bitching and mopping while crying, we called her Hollywood for years. She was a cougar before the word cougar was created. Mom was hilarious and had the best, bawdy sense of humor. She would sing Good Morning Glory early on the weekends when we were still sleeping, usually followed by her opening our bedroom doors and vacuuming inside our rooms a few inches then making a lot of noise with pots and pans in the kitchen. She would pinch our butts in front of our boyfriends and embarrass us when we were teens. Mom taught us how to cook, clean, do chores and write thank you notes at a young age when we received birthday and Christmas gifts. She gave the best advice, was always your best friend and she was so warm and loving. She was selfless, wonderful, amazing and beautiful inside and out. Mom, you were the best Mom ever. We are who we are because of you. We love you so very much and we will miss you terribly.

Mom loved gardening, flowers, chocolate, bags of all kinds, organizing, fashion and the arts. Mom grew up on a farm and was the authority on organic before organic was a thing. She had high energy, could do anything, fixed up several houses - they were meticulously kept. Everything had its place and was in its place. Our yards were manicured. We never saw her sweat and she could live without A/C in Florida. Mom was adventurous. She enjoyed camping, traveling, boating, waterskiing - even underwater the first time Dad taught her how, riding motorcycles and driving classic cars. She loved dancing and music. She was a tap dancer herself and admired the Rockettes, Maurice Hines, Gene Kelly and many others. Mom and Grandma took Gina and I to the Nutcracker ballet at the Royal Poinciana Playhouse in Palm Beach when we were kids. She was a drummer in her high school marching band. Mom was very patriotic - she loved our country and supported our veterans. Mom was incredibly strong, a firecracker - very direct, bold and had no filter since her teens. She was a beer connoisseur. She won beer tasting contests and was touring breweries with Dad, Hubert and Ruth way before it was hip. What a reunion those four are having in Heaven. Mom was the best cook and baker. Nobody can beat her pie crust or rum cake. There was always homemade bread rising on the counter when we were kids, she would make fresh squeezed juices and she made our baby food from fresh fruit and veggies in a blender. She was a great seamstress. She mad matching outfits for herself and us when we were kids and beautiful skirts, dresses and jackets when we were older. She made purses, cosmetic cases, curtains, pillows, boat cushions, Barbie doll clothes, outfits for the goose near the front door, placemats and tablecloths.

Camille - my mom, what an amazing lady! The best Mom ever! My mom was everything to us! She was our best friend! I could tell her anything and she would always listen to me and understand me. She taught us so many things about life. She taught us how to be strong, loving, caring, giving, honest and responsible individuals at an early age. She taught us kids very well. She was an awesome cook, baker, seamstress, gardener, cleaner and a very hard worker. She could do anything and I mean anything! She was so strong in her mind, body and soul. She made us clothes from the time we were born up until a few years ago. She made me beautiful tablecloths, drapes, curtains, pillows, skirts, blouses and dresses. She made the best pies, cookies, cakes, rum cakes and spaghetti sauce. She put her heart into everything she did. She loved growing flowers, plants and trees. She had such a green thumb, she could grow anything. She loved flowers! She enjoyed gardening and landscaping. She loved the sunshine! She loved the outdoors. She loved dogs! She spoiled them so much! She loved music and dancing! She was a great tap dancer! She loved to dance; she taught us how to dance! She loved fashion! She was very fashionable! She loved swimming, riding bikes, riding motorcycles, camping, water skiing, boating and classic cars. She loved traveling! She was adventurous! Mom and Dad took us to see so many beautiful places in this country including national parks, state parks, county parks, campgrounds, theme parks, waterways and lakes. She mostly enjoyed being with us kids all of the time. She was everything to us and more. She was such a big part of all of our lives. She impacted our lives! She was the staple of our family. She was the matriarch of our family. She showed us kids so much love! She made us who we are today! She was the best Mom ever! We are going to miss her so much! Life is going to be so hard without her! We love you, Mom! Rest in peace! Best Mom Ever!

There is not enough time or words to say everything about Mom, but here is a small portion. Camille Suzanne Powers, sounds like a movie star. In many ways, she was. Beautiful, smart, always dressed in fashion, lived and loved drama. She went by many names: daughter, sister, aunt, wife, best friend, chef, seamstress, maid, queen, hostess with the mostest and others I can't say here. But the most important one to me, was Mom.  She raised three kids, not an easy task, but did an amazing job. Involved herself in everything we did, from teaching us how to swim, helping with school work, how to take care of animals, riding horses, cooking, cleaning and how to have a good time. She loved to party and she would let us kids party at the house with our friends. We would play records and dance on the back porch. I got my love of music from her. She took me to my first concerts called Orange Blossom Jamborees, out in the middle of Florida woods. Three days of camping, drinking and listening to live music from Crystal Gayle to Jerry Lee Lewis, it was awesome. She had American Native Indian in her blood and it would show sometimes as she would get real brown skin when she tanned and get real wild on full moons, especially with a little fire water. You would know if she liked you and if she didn't. She spoke the truth with no filter. No beating around the bush, she would say. Dads are usually the enforcers when it comes to getting punished as a kid, but I remember one time, Dad was away at Army Reserve and I got in trouble for something. She grabbed a broom and chased me around the pool, once she caught me, she broke the broom on my ass. I'll never forget that, kinda funny. Mom taught us the importance of doing the right thing, work before play. Every day, when we got home from school, we had a list of chores we had to do before we could go play. We didn't like it, but it taught us responsibility.

Camille will be missed.  Especially my me.   My only sibling.   We had good times together and Lots of memories.  She was a semtress, a great cook and always ready to have a fun time.   Love you sister.

My deepest condolences to you and your family.  I only had the pleasure of meeting your mom once, but I could tell in that short time what a funny, loving person she was.  I hope that you all can take some comfort in the good times and memories that you have and knowing that she's no longer in pain and is at peace.
