They met at the beach/bar in Belmar NJ in 1958 and they fell in love right away. They were married in Astoria Queens on 4/18/1959 and honeymooned in Nassau, Bahamas.

Beloved by all: Carlotta and Greg’s youngest son: Kenneth John Gramas died in an avalanche while skiing in Russia on Mount Elbrus 1/28/1992 He is missed every single day.

She resided with her family in Astoria NY, Jackson Heights NY, Port Washington NY, Yorktown NY, Waccabuc NY and Ridgefield CT. Most recently she and Greg resided in Jupiter FL.

Education: Dominican Commercial High School in Jamaica Queens; BA Mercy College, : Masters MA degree: Westchester University

Work: Carlotta worked for Coca Cola commuting to Manhattan every day; before her marriage to Greg. She brought up 3 active Children while keeping her sanity. She was a business owner with Greg and had expertise in retail and accounting at Cross River Pharmacy.

After Carlotta and Greg sold the pharmacy, Carlotta expanded into community and general counseling. She did what was needed in the Community center in Katonah, NY, with volunteerism. She also volunteered at Westchester ARC. She volunteered and was active with dog training for guiding eyes. In Florida: she volunteered for English as a second language.

Her hobbies included Tennis, platform tennis, golf, skiing, guiding eyes, yoga: she taught yoga at Sea Colony.

A little known fact: in Mom’s earlier days of marriage Carlotta and Greg spent hours participating in Road Rallies. They drove a blue Sunbeam, Triumph TR6, yellow MGBGT, and bright orange 2002 BMW. The frequently came home with first prize!

She enjoyed bridge, canasta, Mah Jong, and broadway shows: especially musicals and book clubs. She especially appreciated all her friends.

She enjoyed Skiing in Okema and Mt Snow. Special times were spent visiting Maine and Vermont, especially Stowe, and spending time with her grandson, Evan.

Favorite beers: Double Spatan dark, Blue Moon in frosted mug with orange, and multiple IPA’s

Favorite adult Beverage: Peach Bellini’s! Another little known fact: Carlotta and Deirdre Have been known as The “Bellini Sisters”

She is extremely proud of her only Grandson Evan. He is in the Class of 2028 at Bates College in Lewiston Maine. He is a member of the prestigious and Division I Ski team.

She will be missed by all her family members and friends across the miles. Especially her sister in law (they also considered themselves sisters, along with her other sister in law /Corrine) Marylin.
