Born on March 19, 1938, Carrie was a Georgia peach through and through. She was the heart of her family—a woman whose warmth, kindness, grace, and unwavering love made everyone around her feel at home. She never sought the spotlight, yet she became the superstar of our family simply by being exactly who she was. Her gentle spirit, infectious smile, and generous heart touched every life she encountered. She never needed the world to feel fulfilled—her greatest joy was simply being surrounded by the people she loved.
Carrie shared an extraordinary love story with her beloved husband, Ted Kalaidi, celebrating 57 wonderful years of marriage together. Their devotion to one another was a beautiful example of enduring love and faithfulness.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Elizabeth (Mike), who was the joy of her life; her treasured granddaughters, Stephanie (Blake), Jessica, Kayla (Taylor), and Kristin (Jake); and her precious great-grandchildren, Brander, Bleu, Bronx, Beckham, and Chloe.
She also leaves behind her adored niece, Dannean, and her loving great-niece, Emma.
Carrie is welcomed into Heaven by her Dearest mother, Flora Middleton, and her brother, Larry Altman.
Nothing brought Carrie greater happiness than watching her family grow and witnessing the generations that carried forward her legacy of love.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that her love will live on through each of us. The values she instilled, the memories she created, and the unconditional love she gave so freely will continue to guide our lives for generations to come.
Carrie Fay was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and lovingly remembered.
“A beautiful soul whose love and light will forever remain in our hearts.”
