I have been very blessed to not only share the friendship of Cathy but also with Adelaide her dear mother. I had the opportunity to meet Adelaide and share a friendship with her first at The Breakers in Palm Beach. Adelaide and I attended the same water aerobics class for about 4 years. For all the vim and vigor Cathy showed, Adelaide surpassed it all, she was 86 when I met her and remember celebrating her on her 90th birthday with a card in the swimming pool! She would always tell me about her daughter who was residing up in Palm Beach Gardens. I did not know Cathy at the time, maybe met her once or twice when she would join her mother for a class. Michael and I decided to move up to Frenchman's Reserve in 2008. The story continued when I attended one of our first events up at the clubhouse, I was introduced to Cathy Lewis, aka Adelaide's daughter! To my surprise Cathy had the same zest for life and charming personality as her mom, what a wonderful circle of life I had the luck to experience.
As time went on, we witnessed the passing of Adelaide which was so very sad, but began life now as two old friends with a common bond. Our fun was always natural, our smiles and our conversations and we always laughed, Cathy was always the life of the party with Dwane at her side, always a pleasure to enjoy life with. She will be sorely missed by all, I will always hold a special place in my heart for both amazing ladies. God bless you both together in the afterlife.

We have been so blessed to have shared so many happy times with Cathy & Duane. We will never forget those great memories. Cathy was such a giving person. Always a phone call or email to see if all was well, always full of compliments, always worrying about Duane and keeping him busy, always setting up dates and reservations for golf or dinner, always looking like she just stepped out of a fashion magazine, and most of all, she was always happy. Cathy will be missed by many. Duane and family, our thoughts and prayers are with you . May all those happy memories bring you peace and comfort at this very sad time.

Thank you, Nana. I know at times we had our differences- but you have done so much for me and I appreciate it. The art shows, helping me with college. It feels different now that you’re gone. Rip.

Cathy was a beautiful and classy lady. . I will always remember the day she told us she and Duane were engaged. she showed the girls in golf her engagement ring . Wow... She had a special golf glove on so that ring could show. We were so excited for her..She amazed us all and boy could she dance. Duane and Cathy could tear the dance floor up. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest In Peace dear Cathy.
