Charles L. Tredo Jr. “Captain Buddy”, age 81, passed away peacefully at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, on Thursday, April 19, 2018.
Buddy was born September 7, 1936, in Buffalo, New York to parents Charles Tredo and Josephine Skulicz. He moved to Florida at the age of 14 where he began a life-time love of the ocean and a legendary career as a charter boat captain and sport fisherman. The highlight of his career was winning the prestigious 1984 Masters Angling Invitational Sailfish Tournament. Buddy was a graduate of Palm Beach High School Class of 1955. His quick wit and days as “Sweet Treat” will be remembered most by those who knew him best on and off the water.
He is survived by his children, daughter, Lori Mathis; step-daughter, Sheri Mench;d aughter, Wendy Ciancio; son, Chad Tredo; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 12:00 pm at Marcinski Park, 2581 Marcinski Rd, Jupiter, FL.
