

Clarence Vogel (Rennie), 85, died May 30, 2026 at his home in Jupiter, Florida, surrounded by his loving wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was born on June 7, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan; the son of the late Clarence Benjamin and Lillian Lindauer Vogel.
Rennie was an active boy from the start. He loved the the great outdoors no matter what the season. An entrepreneur, he loved to earn money mowing lawns, selling catfish, trapping muskrats and even starting a flagpole business. Living in St. Clair Shores he
swam, water skied, went Ice boating and fishing. For many years, his parents owned the Beverly Market and he drove the delivery truck at 14 years old. He graduated from Lakeview High School and was captain of the varsity football team and was on the track team.
He was taught to operate heavy equipment and cranes by his father and became an expert at it. He loved construction work–and often said it wasn’t work if you enjoyed your job.
Rennie married his high school sweetheart and had a baby girl, Michelle. He moved to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1969. After meeting Carol in Michigan–she followed him to Florida. And so began 57 years of love and adventure with Carol. In 1976 he started a company with his partner and very close friend Murray Logan. Murray Logan Construction Company was their pride and joy. They were the best partners and had many wonderful memories of working and fishing. Rennie will be fondly remembered for his lively storytelling, his sense of humor, and his unwavering work ethic and especially for his genuine heartfelt smile.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Vogel; three daughters, Michelle Vogel and her husband James Davison, Lisa Vogel and Matthew and Robin Vogel and her husband Chris Dellago; beloved grandchildren, Halley and her husband Levi Whitten-Connolly, Austin Galbreath, Skylar Galbreath, Isabella DeLisle and Lillian (Lily) Dellago; great grandchildren, Colton and Kilian; step-grandchildren, Christian, Brooklyn, Shanon and Grace Dellago; his neice, Sandra Shannahan; as well as his cats–Tiger and Nala who followed his every move.
All family and friends are invited to honor Clarence (Rennie’s) life. Visitation will be held on Sunday June 7, 2026 from 4pm to 7pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A funeral service will be held on Monday June 8, 2026 at 11am at the funeral home, followed by a reception.
