Claudia M Wills passed away peacefully January 21, 2019 at the Trustbridge Hospice Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Claudia was born in Lewiston Maine and was the daughter of the late William and Charlotte Wills. She grew up and attended her primary education in Ogunquit, Maine and began her life-long love for the woods and waters of the southern Maine coast.
She continued her education at Mt. Ida Junior College and completed her degree in Biological Sciences at Boston University. Claudia also completed graduate studies at Boston University and Harvard University.
She went on to work as a scientific researcher involved with astrophysics, early childhood education, and disease prevention and control. Throughout her working years she focused on making the world a better place for all. She was also a passionate advocate for conservation in the natural world and was involved in many projects to conserve places for future generations to enjoy as she did.
Claudia was a long-term resident of Kennebunk, Maine relocating to Jupiter, Florida in April of 2018 to live with and be cared for by her family due to health issues. She was predeceased by her parents William and Charlotte Wills and her daughter-in-law Cindy W. Ladd.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, son Stephen G Ladd, daughter-in law Frances A Ladd, grand-daughter Kimberly L Guelig and her husband William Guelig, grandson Timothy G Ladd, and great-grandsons Ashton and Rylan Guelig. Her wishes were not to have a formal funeral service, and her family suggests that anyone that wishes to make a memorial to Claudia do so by making a contribution in her name to the charity of your choice.
“I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Robert Frost
