Clydie Mastin Eide passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at the age of 74. Born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, she attended Colby-Sawyer College. A true testament to the expression “bloom where you are planted,” Clydie made a home wherever life took her - her journey continued through Worcester, Massachusetts, Owensboro, Kentucky, and Carmel, Indiana before settling 43 years ago in Jupiter, Florida.
It was in 1973 that Clydie married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Luther Eide, Sr. Together, they built a beautiful life and family that spanned over forty years, until his passing in February 2014. She is survived by her three children: Daniel Luther Eide, Jr. and his wife, Melissa; Carrie Eide Hemler and her husband, Tom; and Crista Mastin Eide. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Daniel III, Riley, and Jack Eide, and Grant and Madelyn Hemler. Additionally, Clydie is survived by her brother, George Mastin (Ann). She was predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Clyde Mastin, her sisters, Pindy and Nancy, and her brothers, Teddy and Tom.
Clydie's greatest accomplishment and source of pride was, without a doubt, her family. Some of her fondest memories were made waterside — boating in Jupiter, island-hopping in the Bahamas, and spending long, carefree beach days in Cape Cod. She found everyday joy in preparing and sharing both new and favorite meals, working on sewing projects, and following her favorite podcasters.
Clydie believed in celebrating life's small moments and in the importance of marking holidays and birthdays with the people she loved. Whether it was a heartfelt hug, a listening ear, a thoughtful conversation, or a lighthearted laugh, Clydie left an impression on everyone she crossed paths with. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
