Daniel A. Barber, 35, beloved son of Lawrence & Jacqueline Barber, best friend & former husband of Amy Barber, passed away on April 27, 2024. He was born in San Lorenzo, Paraguay, on April 22, 1989. We adopted Dan on July 7, 1989, and brought him home, to Southington, Connecticut, on our 5th wedding anniversary on July 15, 1989, where he spent his younger years until moving to Jupiter, Florida on his 9th birthday.
Dan as a young child showed his many talents making chocolate pancakes for his friends to his athletic abilities especially in baseball and golf and was very smart academically especially in reading, writing and math. As a three-year-old, he had plastic golf clubs and would be on the golf course with his father, using them like a professional. As Dan got older, he was his father’s partner playing at The Country Club of Jupiter or at our timeshare on Captiva Island.
Dan attended Jupiter Middle & Jupiter High School and went on to discover his future. He attended Culinary School, PC Professor and Keiser University for golf management. Dan was passionate about golf and was so talented he made two holes in one. He lived to play golf, especially with his dad.
Dan was best known for his compassion for others, his sense of humor, creating amazing & presenting food dishes, attracting friends & always being the life of the party. On his 30th birthday while everyone was looking at the front of the house, he circled around the back and surprised all of us instead of us surprising him.
He is survived by former wife, Amy; mother, Jackie; aunts, uncles, cousins, Jan & Eric, Lindsey, Kyle, Ryan Schofield, Michael Talbot, Richard & Lynne Talbot, Gerald, Mary Beth & Tom Butcher; as well many friends.
He is predeceased by his father, Lawrence Barber; grandparents, Fred & Alice Barber and Henry & Claire Talbot; his Uncle, Gerald Talbot; mother & father-in-law, Lori & Steven Mathews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday June 1, 2024 in the chapel at St. Peter Catholic Church, Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter at 11:00 am.
