My Grandpa was one of the best around. There are so many memories of good times that always included great food and laughter. Those were two things you could always count on him to provide you. He knew all of the best places to get great food and the stories he would tell would have you rolling on the floor with laughter. That’s just the kind of guy he was.

He was always there for me when I needed him. Whether it was when my car wouldn’t start before class one day or remembering a line dance at renegades where he’d let me follow but I would then get lost when he would throw in one of his fancy spins.

He was an amazing man and the absolute best grandpa that a girl could ask for. I miss you everyday but I will look back at all of the good times and laugh. Love you!

My fondest memories of uncle Del will always be during the times we all got together for christmas. He would wear a santa hat, read out loud the gift tags, and pass out the gifts. As Del handed them out sometimes he would make a joke or funny comment. With any occasion Del was a part of, he made it more fun and special with his infectious laughter and boisterous personality.

His laugh and smile will be remembered always. His joy at holiday dinners with family and friends was full of laughter and stories.

Rita,
Del will always be Uncle Del to me since I can remember. You both are a blessing to our family and we love you very much.
There are so many memorable moments in our lives that we have had with you and Del as mention we were like family.
I remember one fun day we spent, somehow we were canoeing. it was Del in the back rowing you in the middle sitting in the canoe and me in the front rowing. We came up to a tree in the middle of the water way. I got out of the canoe and pulled us over the log and Del yells way to go OUTBACK MEL. That is what he called me the rest of the weekend. Mean while mom & dad Chris' canoe tipped over.
More excitement we had was all the clogging conventions and line dancing fun we had growing up. My heart is sad because he is no longer with us here on earth. There is no doubt he will be looking down from heaven and protecting all of us with his great big smile and yelling Great Job !! I love you Rita with all my heart and I wrap my virtual arms around you and squeeze with all my might..

Del was my true love, my partner and my best friend. He always encouraged me to follow my dreams and inspired me to have confidence. He loved his family and his friends, old and new and loved spending time with them. He also loved telling jokes and stories even if he did exaggerate just a little! I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.

My first memories of Del were 37 years ago when Del married my sister Rita. My fondest memories were when my Mother started needed more attention and Del was always there. His kindness and compassion were unlike those of most son-in-laws. We started spending more tine together, I swear he was on a mission to take me to every Tiki bar on the southeast coast. We always shared an order of oysters, that became our thing. I was always impressed by his and Rita's friendship after 37 years of marriage.

All my Love forever,
Michael Ronayne

It was rare to see Del when he didn’t have a big smile. Along with his sincere and easy smile, Del’s enthusiasm stood out. He enjoyed making a sale or talking about a job, and was proud of Rita’s and his photo accomplishments and awards. He was the most enthused when reminiscing about Rita and friends, and cars, racing and dancing. He loved discovering a new restaurant or New Year’s nightspot to be shared with friends. Like his smile, his enthusiasm was ever present. We’ll miss Del and his positive outlook. Godspeed Del.

I will always remember Del on the dance floor. When I dance to Toes In The Sand, he always comes to mind. He taught me how to do that dance and I will always remember him dancing next to me. He was such a wonderful person that will be missed by so many 🙏💕😔
