Diane Wilson Tinsley

Born in Miami, Florida, and raised in West Palm Beach, Diane was the daughter of the late Haskell Wilson and the late Elizabeth Wilson (Baldwin). She graduated from Palm Beach High School in 1960 and went on to earn her degree from the University of Florida in 1964, where she was a proud member of the Tri Delta sorority.

Diane lived a full and vibrant life centered around family, community, friendship and her love of learning. After graduation, Diane taught grammar and high school and education remained a priority for her even after she left the classroom. She started and ran the Art Goes to School program at her daughter’s school for many years sharing art and history with countless children.

Her intellectual curiosity never dimmed. Diane was an avid reader, a daily crossword solver, and a lifelong student who continued taking classes at her local community college. She delighted in puzzles, games, and especially bridge—playing weekly along with canasta.

Diane was a talented athlete. She played tennis in her younger years and later embraced golf, playing weekly at her club and achieving an impressive three hole‑in‑ones. Her enthusiasm for sports extended beyond the course—she adored her Fantasy Football league and could recall the weekly performance of nearly any NFL player during the season.

An outstanding cook, Diane filled her home with warmth, hospitality, and unforgettable meals. She was also fortunate to travel the world with her husband during his business career.

She is survived by her husband J. David Tinsley of Jupiter, Florida, her daughter Holly Tinsley Garner and her husband Seth and grandchildren Lucas and Zoe of Phoenix, Arizona, and daughter Melinda Tinsley Kolschowsky of Jupiter, Florida, and grandchild Jacob and she leaves behind extended family and many dear friends who treasured her presence, wisdom, and kindness.

Her friends in St. Charles, Illinois, and at The Loxahatchee Club in Jupiter held a special place in her heart. Diane deeply enjoyed the community, connection, and laughter she shared with them
