Dolores Perkins of Palm Beach Gardens passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Perkins, brother Martin Coleman and sister Gloria Peters. Born in Newark, NJ, she spent many years working at Western Electric in Kearny before moving to Florida from Belleville, NJ.

Much of her time was devoted to volunteering for the Comprehensive AIDS Program beginning in 1990 and continuing for fifteen years. She served CAP in many capacities with her involvement and support of the Food Pantry and the Red Ribbon Thrift Shop, and spent many hours helping with monthly meetings, dinners for clients, other events and, simply put, in any way she could. She served on the Board of Directors and was named Volunteer of the Year.

She also enjoyed working with children. Friends will remember her for her sense of humor and as a caring friend.

Dolores is survived by her son, Walter (Linda), grandchildren Robert (Nao) and Elizabeth, and great-grandchildren Kai and Lahna.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at the Aycock-Riverside Funeral Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL on Saturday, July 13 at 2pm. In recognition of her lifelong love of dogs and her support, the family requests donations be made to the Humane Society in lieu of flowers.

What a beautiful photo with her great grandchildren! The last time I saw Dolores, her grandkids were perhaps a bit older than Kai and Lahna. Through her commitments in community, marriage and motherhood, Dolores' legacy began and is now celebrated by those whom she leaves behind: a fine son, a loving daughter-in-law, her two devoted grandchildren all who share a deep appreciation of the strength and joy of love.
With deepest sympathy and love,
Erry and Hugh
