Doris Lange

87 years old of Jupiter, Florida died on Thursday, January 2, 2014.

Doris was born on November 9, 1926 in New York, New York and was a graduate of Centenary College. She met her husband Robert Frank Lange (Bob) in 1947 through friends of her parents at the Westchester Country Club. Doris lived in Rye, New York from 1956 to 1986 until she and Bob made Jupiter their permanent residence in 1986, She was an avid Bridge player, golfer, loved to socialize, cook, travel and spend time with her family and friends her and from New York. Doris was a former member of Westchester Country Club for 40 years, a member of PGA National, member of Jonathan's Landing Golf Club and a member of Jupiter First.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Robert Frank Lange (Bob) and her son, Robert Frank Lange, Jr. who passed in 2006. She is survived by her two daughters, Marjorie L. Boatwright (Margie) of Alpharetta, Georgia and Catherine A. Lange (Cathy) of Falls Church, Virginia, grandchildren, Robert F. Lange, III, Peter C. Lange, and Mary Rebecca Nichols; sister, Joan Hughes of Jupiter, FL and brother, Frederic D. Sasse Jr. (Fred) of Rye, New York.

The family will receive friends at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home on Monday, January 6, 2014 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a funeral service starting at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Hospice of Palm Beach County, The Salvation Army, or the Special Olympics.
