I will miss you dearly,... You always knew how to make everybody smile here at the Sterling House I will miss your visits to the reception office and having our conversations that always put a great big smile on my face! Miss you soo much George :(

My Uncle George was such an amazing inspiration! He was ALWAYS in a great mood, laughing, & looking at the positive side of life. He loved the Lord, and his love of Aunt Ruth & his family left a great impression on me. I remember he once told me the secret to having a long happy marriage was to never go to bed angry. He told me that sometimes if they were mad at each other, Aunt Ruth would tickle him till he fell off the bed and they were laughing!! Must have been a good secret because they had a happy, successful marriage of 50+ years. RIP Uncle George. I love you very much!!!

My favorite memory of Uncle George is a time when he and Aunt Ruth came to visit my family in Tennessee. Instead of relaxing after a long trip, Uncle George went outside and played a modified game of baseball with my boys and half of the neighboorhood that had congregated in our backyard. This modified baseball game quickly became known in our neighborhood as the "Uncle George Game." Even though it is twenty years later, our family still talks about that special time. David and Larry, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I knew George through United Airlines in FLL as he came from reservations when they closed it and he came to customer service in FLL.  I had worked for United in FLL as an agent during the pilot furlough and George and I became best of friends.  We stayed in touch over the years and I know he worked his way up the coast towards Palm Beach.  We talked a number of times over the past year and as late as early December. I thought he was in great health for his age and I am saddened by his death.
He explained that he was moved and was living in this place that was O.K., nice, and clean; but he longed for the  years when he had more freedom.  I knew exactly what he meant especially after my Mom had died just 2 years earlier and  her life was in an assisted living facility.
George always had "just one more story" and I listened to him and it made him feel good that he had lived a great life with his family.
I enjoyed George  in the United days and also after retirement.

Uncle George was constantly smiling and he always had a few stories ready to share. His kind, gentle manner and his sincerity and humor will be greatly missed.

Thank you Mr. Kelly for being so kind to my family.  We loved getting to know you and sharing a small part of your life.  I am glad that you are finally reunited with your wife.

"Uncle George," as I called him, loved to talk about his beloved wife, and about how proud he was of his two sons: Larry and David.  He was generous and very kind, and also loved to sing hymns.   Most of all, his love for his Savior radiated  his face, and I am happy that Uncle George is with Him in heaven.  I certainly will miss his beautiful smile!

George had a very positive influence on the lives of the many people that he touched. He always had a quick warm smile for anyone he met. A stranger was just someone that he had not met. I will miss him very much. My sympathies go out to Larry and David for their loss.

George Kelly always had a ready smile, a soft voice and a kind manner.  He was our friend, and my family and I will miss him.

Just hearing your voice would brighten my day. I will miss our talks and your laughter. You touched so many people with your positive attitude, sense of humor, and sharing of the gospel. A perfect example of what God expects from His children. My deepest sympathy to David and Larry.
