Giuseppe Coan

Giuseppe came to the United States at the age of 20 and lived with family. Family was always a big part of his life. He had a close relationship with his siblings and their families. Sunday dinners with the whole family created many fond memories. He married his wife, Barbara (DeLuca) of Clifton in 1967 and they were happily married until her passing in 2001. Joseph was a mason and later contractor for over 50 years. He was an active member of the Italian-American Association of Clifton, NJ and enjoyed playing bocce and cards.

He leaves behind his children, Marina Sweet (David), Susanna McClure and Ben Coan and his grandchildren Eric, Nicole, Tyler, Katherine and Benjamin.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosa Tomasella and Clara Zava and his brother, Louis Coan.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8"00 pm at Morrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Ave., Clifton, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 145 Randolph Ave., Clifton, NJ. All friends and family are welcome.
