

Gorden graduated from Alfred G. Berner H.S. in Massapequa NY and served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970. He received his Physical Therapy degree at Stony Brook University in 1973. He was in the first graduating class of the Physical Therapy program. He married Daryl Ann in 1971 in New York before moving to Florida (Palm Beach Gardens) in 1974. Gorden has been self-employed as a Physical Therapist for the last 40 years. He was a compassionate and dedicated practitioner and thoroughly enjoyed working with his patients.
He enjoyed music, boating, the outdoors, spending time with family and grandchildren. His family was of utmost importance and Gorden enjoyed every moment possible with them. He was known for his kind and thoughtful words of encouragement to all he encountered, especially those in need. He was also known for his tremendous sense of humor and looked upon as the beacon of the family.
Gorden is survived by his loving wife of nearly fifty years, Daryl; a brother, Bryan; a sister, Patti; three sons, Kristofer (Cheryl), Kyle (Krystin) and Kameron and four grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, Kayden and Kelsey.
He is predeceased by his parents, Gorden K. Berntsen in 1984 and Genevieve in 2018.
