We are deeply saddened to announce our beautiful, passionate and brave son, Griffin Ronald Locke, passed away at the young age of 27. Griffin was born on June 29, 1995 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida and passed away unexpectedly on February 6, 2023. He was surrounded by his mom, Cindy, the love of his life, Emily, and his immediate family when he entered the Kingdom of Heaven.
Griffin was loved fiercely and survived by his best friend and mom, Cindy Locke (John Sullivan) of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Brevard, NC; his dad, Ron Locke (Laurel Blekfeld) of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Emily Sterneck of Tampa, FL and will remain the brightest light in their lives as he lives now in their hearts. He is also survived by his uncle and golf buddy, Chris Bachinski (Dawn) of Jupiter, FL; his uncle, Rob Bachinski (Lori) of Wimauma, FL; his sister, Salina Locke (Justin Brown) of Raleigh, NC; his brewery wingman, Petey the pug; his kitties, Baffi and Smokie, along with numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Griffin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Norman and Nellie Locke and his maternal grandparents, Bob and Carol Bachinski, with whom he is “chasing elephants in heaven.”
Griffin made an instant and lasting impact on everyone who met him and on many who never will, through his multiple organ donations. He had the love of a large extended family and friends, had found his partner to share life with, and reached his ultimate work goal of being a part of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) family. He had a deep love of our country, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working out, fishing, golfing, traveling and recently enjoyed becoming an aspiring wine connoisseur.
Griffin earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. He started his adult work career as a Real-Time Crime Analyst with the Miami Gardens Police Department, where he analyzed crime patterns, performed research and assisted in the field with local law enforcement officers. After that he served as a Special Agent with the United States Secret Service and had just started his ultimate career goal of being a Special Agent with the United States NCIS.
We were not ready to lose our beloved Griffin, but we know that God was ready to receive him into His arms. As his last selfless act, Griffin donated his organs to those in need. In lieu of flowers, please send any donations in Griffin's memory to LifeLink, to help other organ donor families and recipients.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458.
