Harry was born in Providence, Rhode Island on November 13, 1931.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly DiCicco; daughters, Theresa Strickland (Greg) and Patricia Quinn; son, David DiCicco; three grandchildren, Carson Quinn, Olivia and Julianne Strickland; and sister, Dorothy DiCicco.
Harry served in the 169th Antiaircraft Artillery AW Battalion 43rd Infantry Division. He started his career at Cape Canaveral, Florida, in the early days of the space program. He later transferred to the West Palm Beach area to work on the AUTEC project. One of Harry’s major accomplishments was overseeing the construction of the AUTEC hangar at Palm Beach International Airport, dedicated in 1996. In the midst of all this, he attended night classes and received his B.S. degree from Barry College.
After 30 years of service, Harry retired from GE Service Company. He enjoyed his retirement by staying active in his community, church and doting on his grandchildren. He had an uncanny ability to tell stories that people enjoyed and remembered forever.
Harry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, mentor and friend. He will be truly missed by all.
Family and friends will honor and remember Harry’s life by gathering at St. Ignatius Loyola on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, in Palm Beach Gardens, where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Entombment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, HPBCF.org
