James Kevin Breslin Jr.

James Kevin Breslin, Jr., 82, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL passed away on February 9, 2021. He was born in Manhattan, NY on August 19, 1938; the son of the late James Kevin, SR. and Margaret Breslin. James was known as Kevin to family members, Jim with outside friends.

He graduated from Cardinal Hayes in Bronx, NY. He went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Iona College. James married Catherine M. Breslin and together they shared 57 years of marriage. He was employed as the Supervisor Immigration Officer for Palm Beach Region for the U.S. Immigration/Department of Justice for 35 years.

James loved having family brunches where he cooked corned beef hash, eggs, bacon, Bahama bread toast and tea. Loved working on any old car that everyone else thought was a lost cause. Had many friends in the car repair business. Was founding member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Breslin; three sons, Robert Breslin and his wife Lana, Brian Breslin and James K Breslin, III; a daughter, Melissa Sciacca and her husband Richard Sciacca; four grandchildren, Kelly Breslin, Alexander Breslin, Grant Sciacca and Justine Sciacca and two sisters, Sister Margaret Breslin and Terry Kitz.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by twin brothers, Tommy & Eddie Breslin; in-laws, Joe & Kitty Kelly and a granddaughter, Samantha Catherine Breslin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. A committal service will occur Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
