Affectionately known as “J.R.”to family and friends, age 33, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on February18, 2016. We are trying our best to find peace knowing that when he left us, it was while doing something he loved to do, fishing. He was born November 25, 1982, in Delray Beach and moved to Jupiter when he was 4. J.R. graduated from William T. Dwyer H.S. in 2001, and attended Big Sandy Technical College in Paintsville, Kentucky.
J.R. had a passion for music and loved playing his guitar for anyone that would listen. He was an accomplished carpenter who built and restored docks, and was striving for a career as a journeyman electrician. His time was often spent outdoors fishing with friends or challenging people to a game of horseshoes or pool (especially with his Dad and Rich). J.R. loved watching football and cheering on his Florida State Seminoles and Miami Dolphins (even through the rough seasons). He was a kind and gentle soul and always had a smile on his face and a hug for everyone. J.R. had a challenging set of goals he desired to accomplish for himself and while his life was too short here for him to complete them, we can be assured every item will be checked off in heaven.
J.R. is survived by his parents, Jim & Chris Hill, his sisters Amanda (Richard DeLucia) & Allison, and his adoring nieces Delaney & Madelyn, and his faithful little dog, Rocky. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends and now his nieces will have their own special guardian angel.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 from 6-8pm at Aycock Funeral Home in Jupiter. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016 at 4pm at Jupiter First Church located at 1475 Indian Creek Parkway. Cemetery services will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta.
Donations in his name may be made to Busch Wildlife Sanctuary in Jupiter.
