To Aunt Connie, Theresa, Charles, Lori Ann & your families,
I was so sorry and saddened to hear of Uncle Jimmy’s passing.
He was such a great man. He had such charisma, with a fantastic sense of humor & wonderful singing voice. It was always a pleasure & so much fun to be around him. He always made everyone feel good.
Some of the best times I’ve had were spent with him & all of you.
Especially down the shore when we were kids. Meeting at “Barney’s” in Seaside for breakfast, on the morning we started our vacations.
The fishing,  crabbing & clamming. He taught me so much about all of those things.
All the barbecues & family parties whether in Morris Plains or Tremont Ave, I always looked forward to them. 
He would sing at the mic while my Grandfather & Sonny played guitars. Great memories.
My prayers & thoughts will be with all of you & Uncle Jimmy at this difficult time.

Jimmy Vac was also known to many as just "Vac" was my hunting coach and then hunting partner for over 25 amazing years. We shared so many fun memories and experiences that i will cherish for the rest of my life. Can always find some laughs when I think back at some of the crazy times we had in those old days.  Even through today when our crew is together we can't help reflect on them, mainly from the times we spent up in the woods. Will miss you Jimmy Vac but your memories will always be there. Some hunter!

     When we were kids, we didnt realize how lucky we were to live next door to our wonderful grandparents,  Aunt Connie, Uncle Jimmy, Theresa, Charles, and Lori Ann.  All of our wonderful family memories took place in our backyards! 

     Uncle Jimmy had the most beautiful cars and took great care of them! As Uncle Jim washed and polished his car, he would sing! Uncle Jimmy was ALWAYS  singing. I can still hear him singing :" It's Not Unusual" and "She's A Lady", just as good as the original!   

     When it snowed, we would all get our shovels out and help, and we'd have fun just being a family!  

     When we got older, Uncle Jim was working on a job site that was near to our jobs in Manhattan.  In the morning, 
Uncle Jim would whistle our family whistle, and we would  all run out of our houses, and jump in his car with shoes, belts, curlers and make-up!  While Uncle Jim chauffered us to work, we would finish getting ready.  We would then leave all of  the items we didn't use in his back seat. I'm sure the men on his job wondered what all of the items were doing in his back seat! Funny memory!

       Recently, I was five minutes away from Uncle Jim, and our wonderful Aunt Connie's house, I called to surprise them.  Uncle Jim couldn't do enough, he picked a beautiful flower for my hair, and gave us fresh aloe vera for our sunburn!  The next day our wonderful Aunt Connie said she wished she had cooked for us, but, we told her, "that's why we only called you five minutes before".

    Wow, there's lots of great memories! Thank you Uncle Jim!  We love you! God bless you always! Great love to you Aunt Connie, Theresa, Charles, and Lori Ann

To the Vaccaro family,we lost a great man this week and my whole family as been saddened deeply. To me he was always uncle jimmy and will always be. He took time to teach us all about baseball ⚾️ and all the other good things in life l. I had a dream the other day he was still yelling at me from 45 years ago on the bay crabbing Johnny hill u miss 1 more crab your ass is going over board 😂. These are the great times I remember spending with uncle jimmy and his family. I will

Uncle Jimmy wasn't only my uncle and Godfather  he was my big brother and a great one at that. He took me everywhere he went when I was growing up.. We shared so many hunting trips up in the mountains and cornfields in Dutchess count rabbit and pheasant hunting with Rusty ,Grandpa, Uncle Santo Joey Cerrito and Charles (aka Butch). He taught me how to shoot a bow and skin a deer and cook venison. We crabbed and fished on the Jiminey Cricket and had so many crabs with grandma and grandpa in the back yard in the Bronx. He was an incredible artist and helped me become one too. He would critique my work with positive encouragement always. I used to go watch him bowl and play softball with Nicky Beans every Sunday morning, Uncle Jimmy was a good ballplayer. We played a lotta golf down there in Florida and once in a while we made it to that 19th hole...fun days unc...he took me to work on the construction job's in the city where he was well respected by ALL who knew him in the industry and he was especially proud of that. Uncle Jimmy retired young and moved down to Florida so he could fish and golf and swim in that beautiful pool with Aunt Connie our wonderful Aunt Connie..God bless you..he loved to bbq and their door was always open. Always. I will miss ALL those great duets we sang, the Times he belted out My way. And like Sinatra he surely did things His Way...amen....I was blessed to have Uncle Jimmy as my Godfather and my Brother....although I could not be there today my heart and my love are there with you ALL....love Joey

Uncle Jimmy was the greatest godfather ever . Many wonderful memories especially down the shore . I remember he taught me how to crab and sitting on his lap and he was showing me how to crack the crabs.  My Godfather sang Happy Birthday to me every year on my birthday. Uncle Jimmy sang all the time . He always looked tanned and had a wonderful smile that would light up the room . He will be missed tremendously and all of the magnificent memories will forever be in my heart . Sending hugs and all my love to Aunt Connie, Theresa, Ronnie , Charles, Diane , Lori and all of the family . Wish I could be there . . Rest In Peace my great godfather. Love you forever .

Uncle Jimmy taught me many things growing up, how to eat crabs, clams, pick the ripest figs from his fig tree. We had the best times together at the Jersey Shore, never a dull moment with Uncle Jimmy. One of my fondest memories was when he sang “New York, New York” at my wedding. Rest In Peace Uncle Jimmy…you will never be forgotten and will always be loved.
