Joan K. Clark

Joan Katherine Clark, age 97, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, passed away on September 1, 2026. Joan was born in New York on February 2, 1929. She was the daughter of Muriel and Maynard Holt, the oldest of seven children. She lived in New York for many years and spent the last 40 living in Florida.

"Mocky" as she was endearingly called by family, was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who absolutely adored her family. There was nothing she enjoyed more than having family around her and taking care of them.

Her nurturing spirit and generous heart touched everyone who knew her, and her legacy of love and warmth will forever be remembered by those she leaves behind. She was the proud and devoted mother of her daughter, Kim Smith and her sons, Richard Torlincasi and Stephen Torlincasi. Her joy extended to her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Sean Smith, Cody Torlincasi, and Allison Randazzo, and she found even greater delight in the presence of her great-grandchildren, Whitaker, Sloane, Leo, Townes, Etta, Leon, and Layla.

She loved taking care of children so much she ran her own daycare. She was also an avid reader and would frequently read a book a day. Joan's family was her world, and she embraced every moment spent with them. One of Joan's greatest pleasures was cooking for her family. Her Sunday pasta dinners were one of the many ways she brought the family together, filling the house with good food, love, and memories that will be held dear by her family forever.

Joan's sweet and caring nature was evident in everything she did. She had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eyes that could light up a room, and she had a warmth that made those around her feel loved and cherished. Her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of her family, and her absence will be deeply felt. While her passing leaves a void, her spirit and the love she gave so generously will continue to guide and inspire her family.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Joan’s extraordinary life will be held on September 26, 2026 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 3395 Burns Rd., Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410. Friends and family are invited to gather and share in the memories of a remarkable woman who left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joan's memory to a charity close to your heart as a way to continue spreading the love and kindness that she embodied throughout her life.

Joan will forever be missed, but her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Heaven has indeed gained a very special angel.
