Joan is survived by her husband, Peter F. Neumann after 68 years of marriage. They met on a blind date in New York in 1956 and went on to raise their family, run a successful business, design and decorate beautiful homes, dance joyously, travel the world and develop life-long memories together for the next 70 years.
Also surviving Joan are her four children, Nancy (William) of Walpole, NH, Paul (Lynda) of Richmond, MA, Steven (Annet) of Jupiter, FL, and Joann of Portsmouth, NH. Joan's greatest joy were her eight grandchildren, Reba, Lowell, AJ, Bryan, Russell, Carly, Royal and Regal (deceased). She cherished every recital, game, graduation and moment together.
Joan had a special ability to spark and nurture relationships. She didn’t just meet people; she wanted to know them deeply, ensuring her friends felt valued and cherished. Her warmth, smile, and kindness brightened every room.
Joan believed strongly in giving back to communities and causes in need, and gave her time and energy to organizations near and dear to her heart. She was a devoted member of Old First Church in Huntington, NY where she found fellowship, purpose, and lasting friendships.
Joan (Joansie, Baba, Grandma, Mom) danced, laughed, loved and treasured life and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
