I didn’t know Joel but I want to send my thoughts and prayers to you Connie and the family. As well as all of his friends.

Joel was a descendant of John Howland who came to America aboard the Mayflower.


Joel was a great Leader and one of the Best Bosses anyone could ever ask for.  He helped nurture and coach me when I was a young associate with JM&A. He taught me a lot and genuinely cared about me and my family. I seem to always remember him smiling. 

Joel had a positive impact on my life and many other JM&A associates. I will forever be grateful for that.

What a huge loss to all of us! Joel was a great, extremally ethical   fellow work associate who became an even better friend! It was an honor to have been a friend of Joel's for 37 years! If it wasn't for Joel I would never been able to rig bait properly! And he would check to make sure I did it right! Best memories are from the many fishing trips with Joel. Not only did we catch fish, we looked good doing it on the most immaculately maintained boats, thanks to Joel. Associate, Friend & Captain Joel, rest in peace. I'm sure your catching them up with the Angels now.  P.S. Make sure they rig them right and wash & dry the boat!! We'll all miss you,

We were so shocked and sad to hear about Joel, it just doesn't seem real.  Joel was a very kind and thoughtful man.  He was always cautious about his words when he spoke as to not offend anyone but was quick to come up with some zingers to make us laugh!  Ron always enjoyed swapping old police stories with Joel.  I also know that he was good to you Connie and loved you so much.  We will truly miss him.  Please know that Ron & I are here for you and your family always.

Joel was so happy to learn a couple of years ago that he descended from John Howland of the Mayflower ship. I like to think they are fishing together with my husband Tom in calm waters. Rest In Peace Joel. I miss you and love you 

Joel was a great friend. He was a hard driven business man that gave all he had.

My best memories with Joel were on the water. We had several great trips and memories.
He is dearly missed!

Connie, Joe and I are at a loss for words to express the sorrow we feel for you and your family. 
One thing I can say is Joel loved you to the moon and back.
