

John G. Branney, 90 of Jupiter, FL passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Jupiter Medical Center. He was born in Whitehaven in Northern England on April 14, 1927; the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Branney.
John served his country in the British Navy. He married Helen Justicz on September 2, 1961 and together they were married for 53 years until Helen’s passing in 2015. In his earlier years, John worked as a business manager for Thyssen in South Wales, and then as a Developer until his retirement. John and Helen relocated to Florida in 1975.
John was a volunteer for the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program and assisted people coming from other countries to learn the English language. He was an avid reader, enjoyed playing golf, and was a big history buff.
He is survived by a son, Stephen; two daughters, Sally and Joanne; five grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Alex, Ryne and Jackie; two great-grandchildren, Hayley and Peyton.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Reception will follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 1230 South Old Dixie Highway, Jupiter, FL 33458 or to the American Cancer Society, 235 S County Rd #20, Palm Beach, FL 33480.
