We bought a house from Joe and made a friend. We will miss his surprise visits and phone calls to see what we were up to and let us know how he was doing. He always made our day.  He will be missed.

Just heard of Joe's passing and wanted to express my condolences to the Gozzo family. I was priviledged to call Joe "my godfather" and have many fond memories as a child, teen, and adult of Joe. Joe always lit up a room with his smile and exuded a genuine warmth and concern for those fortunate enough to enter his life. He will be missed and never forgotten.

My sincere condolences to you all.  I knew Joe for many, many years, more so when I became a police officer in Bloomfield.  He was one of the nicest guys in politics and a strong supporter of the department and the interest of the town. I know he will be missed by all, keep his memories alive in your hearts for ever.

I first met Joe as a Board member of River Ridge in Tequesta. I remember he was 73 and I was 37 (reverse the numbers), he became a close friend with his wife Sandy and my wife Cherie. We shared a tremendous amount of time fishing, golfing and dining together. Although we were years apart, something just clicked between us and I am a better person because of our time spent together. You lived a fascinating life Joe and  you will be sorely missed by me and many others. RIP

Joe Gozzo lived life in his own fashion...a wonderful man with a winning smile, great storyteller and our dear friend whose presence remain in our hearts and memories forever.  His prowess as a hunter was reflected by the trophies on the living room walls.  He often told of his help to capture one of the FBI's most wanted men and his failure to collect the reward!
