Josephine M Bohane

April 25, 1945April 28, 2021

Josephine Maher Bohane, born April 25, 1945 in Tipperary, Ireland to Annie and John Maher passed away peacefully April 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving sons. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Michael Bohane. She is survived by her sons Alan and Adrian Bohane.

Josephine was a registered nurse for over 40 years in Ireland, Canada, New York and Florida where she cared for and touched so many lives throughout her incredible life. She always made her faith a daily priority and devoutly believed in the power of prayer. In her twilight years, she enjoyed spending the days in her garden alongside her three best four legged friends - Bear, Liesel & Finn.

Josephine truly loved her family more than anything else and was the kindest most caring mother one could ever ask for. Our amazing “Josie” will be forever missed but never forgotten.

“Pray, hope and don’t worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer.” - Saint Padre Pio

We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to Alan and Adrian on the sad passing of Josephine. As a family, we have truly wonderful memories of time spent with you both and Josephine and Michael, particularly in Cashel and Howth. The toasted sandwiches, chat, and laughs were the firm favorites.

Josephine was such a special lady. We will continue to chat about her and remember her fondly.

We hope that in time, the wonderful memories of your lovely Mum will bring you both comfort. Lots of love, John, Phyllis, Dermot, and Joan O'Halloran Dualla, Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

To my dearest friend Josephine,
We’ve known each other since we were young nurses in the Mater hospital and when our paths crossed again as neighbors in Sharavogue.
In more recent years we shared a wonderful friendship and we were welcomed in Florida by you and your lovely boys Alan and Adrian.
Thank you for the great fun and laughter. You will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Nuala xx
