

Katherine Moschera Worth, 91 of Tequesta, FL died at her home on Thursday, May 16, 2013 with her family by her side. Born in Lawrence, Long Island New York Katherine was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, James W. Worth. Katherine leaves behind three daughters Jeannette Hatos(Louis) of Clarksville FL, Janice Barty of Tequesta FL, and Helen Lawerence (John) of Tampa FL, seven grandchildren, Kathie Hatos, David Hatos (Martine), Stephanie Hires (Don), Jason Barty, Andrew Lawrence, Emily Harrison (Ray), Samatha Lawrence, and six Great-Grandchildren, Rion Hamlin, Donnie Hires, Hannah Hires, Mason Hires, Nolan Harrison, Mitchell Harrison and sister Marion Halliwell of Tequesta, Fl and Jimmy Moschera of New Egypt NJ, and many nieces and newphews and long time friends.
Katherine was a pioneer resident of Jupiter-Tequesta area, moving from New Egypt New Jersey to Jupiter in 1957. Upon moving to Jupiter Katherine and her husband Jim Worth purchased the Jupiter Tourist Stop Restaurant on US Hwy 1 in Tequesta. In later years, Kay was co-owner of Kay's Custom Sewing on Cypress Drive in Tequesta, FL. Dedicated to a life of service, Kay was a life-time member of The Order of Eastern Star in Jupiter and other Masonic affliated service organizations such as The White Shrine and Amaranth. Kay lived her life exemplifying a firm Christian Faith, and was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta, FL. The American Legion Auxiliary was another community organization that Kay supported.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23rd at 6:00 pm-8:00 pm, with The Order of the Eastern Star Service to follow at Aycock Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be Friday, May 24th at 4:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Tequesta, Fl. Interment will be on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 9:00am, Riverside Memorial Park in Tequesta, FL.
