March 27, 1955 – September 6, 2020
On Sept. 6, 2020, Kevin Leo, loving son, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully at his Jupiter home at age 65. One of five siblings, Kevin was born to Dan and Kay Leo in Merrick, New York, on March 27, 1955. He attended Chaminade High School and graduated from Georgetown University with a business degree. He lived in New York City before moving to Jupiter.
A highly successful businessman, Kevin served as President of Staley Elevator Company in New York City before retiring at age 49. Kevin was a lifelong fisherman and enjoyed boating off Long Island as well as golfing and a good cigar. An avid art collector, Kevin had a deep appreciation for the fine and performing arts. He was a gourmand long before the term “foodie” was coined and enjoyed entertaining his friends and family. He was intellectually curious, an enthusiastic reader and was always ready to engage in political discussions. In addition to his varied outside interests, Kevin still found time to give back to his community, volunteering at Jupiter’s El Sol community center to teach English as a second language.
Kevin’s sense of humor and quick wit made him a welcome guest. He was generous to his friends, family and to the causes he supported. He delighted in surprising people with imaginative, thoughtful gifts. Those fortunate to count him as a friend know him as a caring, compassionate person. Family always came first to Kevin and for that reason, his too-soon passing has left a void in his tight-knit clan.
A date for a memorial service will be set in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to 4Ocean at www.4Ocean.org.
Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Kay Leo and his sister, Stacie Pinney (Mark). He is survived by his loving father and stepmother, Dan and Cindee Leo, and his siblings and their spouses: Danny and Stephanie Leo, Susan Leo, Stephen and Deborah Leo, his seven nieces and nephews, and his beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Baxter.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I send my condolences to the family of Kevin Leo. Kevin and the Joseph Family use to go skying in upstate NY every winter. We are the same age and hung out together when the families got together for trips to the Islands and Christmas. I was very sad to hear this news and the other news of the families.
Again, my condolences come from my heart to your family,
Sincerely Jenifer Joseph Sanchez
