Manda Margareth Holzmann, 90 years old, of Tequesta, Florida, passed away on October 27, 2025. She was born in Brooklyn, NY, on March 29, 1935, the daughter of the late Theodor Fritsch and Katharina Fritsch Brockmeyer.
Manda graduated from Ft. Hamilton High School in Brooklyn, NY, in 1953. Afterwards, she studied to become a dental assistant, a role she was very proud of. She enjoyed working for E.Z. Filler, DDS, and Vincent Ferragamo, DDS. Once her husband and his late business partner, Joseph Lukaske, started their company, Delma Displays, in Long Island City, NY, Manda became an integral part of the business as a bookkeeper and handled the payroll for many years, until her retirement.
She was a very neat and organized person who had a passion for photography. Her beautiful shots from travels were proudly displayed as a gallery at her home on Shelter Island. Manda cherished her time on Shelter Island, where she delighted in hosting visitors, especially her grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed doing craft projects.
Manda had a love for playing card games, particularly Uno, and was an avid fan of the show M.A.S.H. and murder mysteries. She enjoyed bird watching and listening to country music. Her collections included seashells from the beach, Hummels, and elephant figurines.
Renowned for making the best Christmas cookies, Manda took great joy in sharing platters of her cookies with her many friends and family. She valued spending time with friends and family and cherished long telephone conversations with loved ones near and far.
Manda's presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Manda and Herbert previously lived in Cambria Heights, NY (1957-1967); Garden City, NY (1967-2001), Shelter Island (1972-2015), and Jericho, NY (2001-2015) before moving to Tequesta, Florida, in 2015.
Manda is survived by her husband of 70 years, Herbert Holzmann of Tequesta, FL; her sons, Ted (Mary) of East Northport, NY, and Gary (Elizabeth) of Brookfield, CT and four granddaughters, Kristen, Sarah, Julianna, and Jamie.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Klara Lousteau.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center located at 1112 Military Trail Jupiter, FL 33458. In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations were made to any of the following organizations:
