We were very saddened by the passing of our dear friend Marianne. Carl and her were true friends to me for many year’s. She never forgot my birthday and always sent me a birthday card, and also a Christmas card, or would just drop a line to check up on my family. I am going to miss that very much. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Alfred and his family. May you rest in eternal peace my friend.

I met the Ludwigs in Norwich, Karl took care of my Breitling watch, when they left for Florida I kept sending the watch to him there. But we were not just customers, but friends and spoke German together.
We still exchanged Christmas cards, I visited Marianne once in Florida, and we had a good time at her lovely home.
I am so sorry that Marianne passed
Sincerely,
Evelyn (Mrs. Peter J.) Kropp

Fondly remembering Marianne. My husband purchased my engagement ring from Mr. Ludwig over 52 years ago. My dear maternal grandparents Mattie and Louis Beit were Norwich friends with them as were my parents. My recollection is when my grandparents died, Karl and Marianne purchased their home on Gifford Rd.
My parents moved to Delray Beach around 1980. My mom and Marianne called each other quite a bit when the Ludwigs lived in Jupiter. I always sent Marianne a holiday card and she always sent us a lovely Hanukkah card back with a personal note.
The Ludwigs were a wonderful couple. May they both Rest In Peace.

She taught me more than she will ever know, but most importantly, she loved me consistently and endlessly. She always did the best should could, giving her all to the people she loved.

Omi, I’ll never forget your laugh, your sweet voice, and that big beautiful smile with blue eyes. I love you always.

Frieden ❤️
